It's Alive! But not really...

Here's the reality. Despite the fact that the House passed perhaps the most insane bill in its sordid history, the Senate still must approve it. Currently, the probability of it passing before the end of this year, as measured by the trading price on intrade, is only 8%. The battle in the House is lost, but the war is not over. Keep the pressure on your Senators and make sure your congressman, if applicable, suffers the consequences of his betrayal of individual rights in the 2010 elections.

Funny double-entendre :)

Such a bill should have been met with moral outrage by the entire country. We have a ways to go on the moral front.

Oh... and cool Gerome painting today in the upper right. His art is always fascinating to view in person.

MTN,

Glad you enjoy the Gerome. I agree it is great in person. In fact, the photo here is one I took myself at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. I have been going there on and off for over 20 years and it is one of two or three paintings I vividly remember. The first time I saw it was striking. It really looks like a photo. His technique was other worldly.
