Obama to Dissenters: "Don't Talk"

"There are only two means by which men can deal with one another: guns or logic. Force or persuasion. Those who know that they cannot win by means of logic, have always resorted to guns."

Ayn Rand
Faith and Force: Destroyers of the Modern World
Amid reports that the AFL-CIO is letting loose union thugs to intimidate town hall protesters, and that many of the town hall meetings are turning violent, the above quote certainly seems apropo. The left has nothing left but a punch to the face (or worse). Consider this video from the Thug-In-Chief, wherein he says:
"But I don't want the folks who created the mess to do a lot of talking. I want them to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess. I don't mind cleaning up after them, but don't do a lot of talking."

Thanks for the alert. The union article is disturbing and possibly a sign of things to come.

I followed up on the group targeted in the article, the group called "Right Principles," here:

http://www.rightprinciples.com/

What interests me is their philosophical foundation. They are Judeo-Christians. See item 8 on their list. They have a lot of free-market rhetoric but no ethically principled support for capitalism. They are conservatives (valuing God, Tradition, Nation, and presumably Family, although they don't discuss "social issues").

On certain issues, they might be allies at voting time or in ad hoc political efforts (such as rolling back a sales tax), but they don't offer anything more that I can see. Unfortunate, but not surprising.
